This fine antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a plain cylindrical form. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced interlacing shaped arches accented with simplified floral motifs. The upper and lower rim of this sterling mustard pot is ornamented with an applied ribbed border. This fine mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged subtly domed cover surmounted with an impressive scrolling leaf decorated thumbpiece. The surface of the cover is embellished with pin struck decoration emanating from the centre in addition to a wriggle work stylised floral design. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an S-scroll handle ornamented with scrolling terminals and thumbpiece. The mustard pot is fitted with a removable blue glass liner. This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver and mother of pearl fruit/dessert flatware set / service consists of twelve knives and twelve forks. The blades of the knives have a rounded form and the forks each have four tines/prongs. The anterior surface of each knife is embellished with fine and impressive bright cut engraved foliate decoration accented with a simplified border to one side.
