Pair of Sterling Low Tazzae
About the Item
A pair of hall marked sterling silver Tazzae, each bowl of scalloped circular form, profusely pierced with stylized acanthus, raised on a circular foot marked for Sheffield 1933 by Edward Viner.
This sort of cutwork went out of fashion in the 1930s. It was very expensive to produce. This pair appears to have never been used. They have no kind of dedication or initialing on them and are presented in the original box, lined in white silk. They would make a stylish gift.
