An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Edwardian pin cushion modelled in the form of a kangaroo; an addition to our animal related silverware collection This fine antique Edwardian, rare sterling silver pin cushion has been realistically modelled in the form of a kangaroo. The hallmarked sterling silver body of this antique silver pin cushion is embellished with embossed decoration reproducing the details of the marsupial's anatomical features. The kangaroo's back is fitted with an oval cushion. Period pieces incorporating a kangaroo design is a rarity. Condition This antique silver pin cushion is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Edwardian silverware. This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver goblet has a circular bell shaped form onto a shaped pedestal to a plain rounded knop and circular spreading foot. The body of this silver goblet is embellished with an applied cartouche pertaining to the London Athletic Club accented with a uncial-style typeface and incorporating the motto 'Vincit Qui Patitur' - Who Endures, Wins, in addition to. Either side of the goblet features a cast and applied wing, each with ornamentation reproducing the details of the plumage. The upper rim of the vessel is encompassed with an applied moulded border.
