An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Georgian Irish sterling silver fiddle pattern gravy straining spoon, an addition to our collectible flatware collection.
This exceptional antique George III Irish sterling silver straining spoon has been crafted in the fiddle pattern.
The plain bowl of this gravy spoon incorporates an impressive arched strainer ornamented with pierced decorated vertical pales.
The surface of the handle terminal is plain and unembellished.
The reverse of this antique silver straining spoon features a rounded heel to the bowl and pip to the handle terminal.
Condition
This antique silver straining spoon is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of the handle are all very clear, the second portion of the maker's mark is worn but remains legible.
