LaGardo Tackett "Forma" Series Coffee/Tea Service with Sugar Bowl and Creamer
About the Item
Rare complete 15-piece coffee or tea service designed by La Gardo Tackett for Schmid International, Japan, 1960s. The porcelain ceramic "Forma" series was marketed in the late 1950s and early 1960s. This set includes the large lidded coffee/tea pot, 6 demitasse cups with saucers, creamer and sugar bowl with lid. The handle on the sugar bowl is wrapped in cane. The set is in perfect condition with the exception of some crazing to the glaze on the coffee pot. The crazing doesn't affect anything, we just wanted to mention it. It can be seen in the photograph of the lid to the coffee pot. A truly rare set.
The coffee pot measures: 12.5" H x 8.5" D x 3.75" W
The creamer measures: 4.25" height x 1.75" diameter
The sugar bowl measures: 3 height x 3.5" diameter.
The demitasse cups measure: 4" H x 2.75" D x 1.75" W
The saucer is 3.5" diameter.
