Set of Eight English Gilt-Metal Three-Light Chandeliers

About the Item

ITEM: A SET OF TEN ENGLISH GILT-METAL THREE-LIGHT CHANDELIERS AUTHOR: Charles Edwards Material: GILT METAL ORIGIN: LONDON SPECIAL FEATURES: IN THE MANNER OF Thomas Messenger Dimensions: 35 in. (89 cm.) high; 16 in. (40.5 cm.) diameter Each corona contains a dish issuing three acanthus-clasped branches with glass storm shades. It is fitted for electricity. Charles Edwards sheds a little light on the world of swanky lighting. Charles Edwards designs and manufactures lanterns, chandeliers, wall lights and lamps, which grace everywhere from New York apartments and British stately homes to chateauxs, yachts, palaces and the world’s finest hotels. It all began in 1992 when Charles started his business on London's King’s Road, selling antique furniture and lighting. The renowned American interior designer, David Easton, asked Charles to replicate one of his lanterns and there began a design and manufacturing business, which quickly grew. Today, there are over 400 designs in the Charles Edwards collection ranging from Gothic to Mid-Century Modern. The company takes bespoke commissions.
