About the Item
The One of One Collection is an ongoing series of single-edition floor and table lamps featuring shades made from particularly rare vintage paper parasols from our archive.
Rest assured, you will never see another one like it.
Model No. 018 is a one-of-a-kind table lamp topped with an upcycled rice-paper shade constructed from an antique children's parasol manufactured in Japan, circa 1960, with a block-printed red Hibiscus flower pattern and glossy black lacquer striping.
The off-white paper shade sits atop a lacquered, vintage speckled bamboo column and split-coconut base, which is finished with brass fittings and an olive green cloth-covered cord.
Subtly playful yet sophisticated, it's a guaranteed conversation piece in any room.
Made by hand in New York by artist Christopher Tennant.
