A French Louis XVI style giltwood bed. C 1880. Upholstered headboard and footboard with nailhead trim flanked by fluted columns, rising on tapered legs.
Interior dimensions : 56.5"W x 72" D
This bed is smaller than todays queen/full size bed. Often times old beds are not as large as todays "queen/full" size beds. There are ways to adapt an old bed to todays standards.
