Illustrated with a frontispiece, thirty-one plates, and in-text illustrations throughout.
Collated, complete.
'The Grey Fairy Book' is Lang's sixth book in his successful and colourful 'Fairy Book' series.
The grey volume contains stories from Lithuania, Africa, Germany, France, Greece, and other regions of the world.
Containing 'The Goblin Pony', 'Udea and her Seven Brothers', 'Herr Lazarus and the Draken', 'The Story of the Queen of the Flowery Isles', 'The Daughter of Buk Ettemsuch', 'Prunella', and more.
Andrew Lang is best known for these collections of fairy tales, and was an avid collector of folk and fairy tales. He was a Scottish poet, novelist, and literary critic.
Illustrated by Henry Justice Ford, a noted English illustrator who is best known for his beautiful illustrations for Lang's works.
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Very light rubbing to the joints. A few very small marks to the boards. Spots to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few scattered spots to the first and last few pages.
