About the Item
A rare oversize Persian Bakhtiari in a geometric pattern. The rug design resembles the Persian Heriz Serapi geometric rugs from NW Persia and makes this a very desirable Bakhtiari. The rug has a dark red/burgundy background color with center medallion and the corner spandrels in abrash French blue. The rug has a beautiful colorful border. The range of colors resulting from the use of natural vegetable dyes results in a beautiful palate of wonderful colors including green, blue, yellow, and red. brown, and pink. This Persian Bakhtiari rug has one of the most beautiful borders of any vintage tribal rug.
