K0510 Substantial Jas Shoolbred solid mahogany luggage rack on turned and ringed legs united by turned and ringed stretcher. This antique luggage rack would make a good hall seat. Stamped Jas Shoolbred 5.
This piece retains original finish and extensive patina, it is sturdy, wobble and woodworm free, ready to use at home, circa 1900.

Opened, 36in. high and 49in. wide. Rooms organized during the Regency period as libraries often had floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. The upper shelves were difficult to reach, so movable library stairs were invaluable.
