This antique Sheraton period armchair, sometimes described as a bergère (bergere) chair, is raised on reeded square tapering legs which merge, headed by a carved rosette panel, to support the arms via free-standing carved, reeded, shaped columns.
The square moulded show-wood top rail is centred by a raised and fluted panel.
