Daybed, French Reconstruction 1950

About the Item

Beech daybed, France 1950. The top consists of an oak veneered part and a shelf inlaid with opposing triangles in light oak and mahogany. The mattress and its two cushions are covered in linen, they can be placed flat to make a bed or as a backrest. With a very beautiful design, this daybed offers great similarities with the model 118 published by Meubles TV by Pierre Paulin. It is presented with a triptych by Yan Kane, Scottish visual artist, also available on this site.
