Antique Georgian Style Flame Grained Bureau Bookcase
About the Item
A smart and very well made antique bureau bookcase of very slim proportions. This is in the Georgian style, it was made in England and dates from around the 1950s.
It is of excellent quality, and is a most useful item. The drawer fronts are serpentine shaped with brass handles, the writing flap has cross banded edges and the upper doors have lovely astral glazing. The drop down flap opens to reveal a lovely leather topped work space with additional internal storage. The lower drawers are generous, and there is adjustable shelving in the top section.
We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
