Regency Mahogany Bookcase
About the Item
Sn4543 A large Regency bookcase in mahogany, having architectural pediment above string inlaid flamed mahogany frieze and a pair of astragal glazed doors enclosing 8 height adjustable shelves and fitted with original working lock and a key, all flanked by fluted columns, the projecting base having 2 string inlaid drawers with original brass handles and a pair of cupboard doors with brass grill and pleated fabric, also fluted with original working lock and a key and flanked by fluted columns, standing on turned legs, all with ebonised decoration throughout.
This antique bookcase has been sympathetically restored, it retains its original finish which has been cleaned revived and waxed, original colour and patina, all in wonderful home ready condition, circa 1820.
