About the Item
These gorgeous commodes are made of oak and walnut and lacquered in black lacquer and genuine time-worn gold leaf. The commodes were designed in the manner of Maison Jansen of Paris but made in the USA by Jacques Bodart. He made many fine French pieces in the USA and was French himself. Measures 42 wide x 19 inches deep x 31 tall. Dates to the 1960s era.

This is a very rare, monumental butlers desk or large scale commode in solid oak with incredible hand polished and hand-hewn quarried marble.
