Biography :
Claude Dalle created Roméo in 1974 and opened his first gallery Faubourg Saint-Antoine then moved to the Champs-Élysées to welcome an international clientele.
First inspired by André-Charles Boulle and the great cabinetmakers of the 18th century whose masterpieces were revisited by Linke or other great houses of the 19th century, he reinterpreted these works in new materials. Then the rediscovery of Art Deco expanded its catalog, and Roméo also offered post-modernism from the eighties in stainless steel, brass or methacrylate.
Claude Dalle included objects from other Maisons in his collections and his most original collaboration remains with Versace. Roméo has been the official distributor in France of the Home Signature collection and Versace fabrics which he used for his own sofas or beds.
This confrontation of styles and this originality allow these creations to fit just as well into a hotel in Beijing as in a villa in Miami. These decorative elements are found all over the world : Hotel Legendale in Beijing, palaces in Abu Dhabi, penthouses in San Diego, villas in Palm Beach, Budapest, Miami, Saint Petersburg.
