Modern Wood Side Tables
By Bertu Furniture
Located in Oak Harbor, OH
Price is per stump, not per pair. Please scroll down to read IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT OUR STUMPS before purchase! Why buy our stumps? KILN DRIED Our stumps all go through a drying process in our kiln, sometimes for up to a month. We are meticulous with bringing each and every log to a specific moisture level. This process helps with major cracking, long-term moisture issues, and bugs. ECO FRIENDLY In an effort to replenish the trees we use, we plant 50+ trees a year. In addition, we practice salvage logging. Where do we source these? Some of the trees fall naturally. Some have damage from severe wind, lightning, flood, disease, or other natural disturbance so they need to be cut and removed before they fall. Others are fresh cut because people want them off their land. Salvage logging may reduce erosion, reduce intensity of future wildfires, and slow buildup of pest insects. FAMILY OWNED These are made from our family to yours. Quality is of utmost importance, and we hand cut, de-bark, sand, and finish every piece with care. COMMERCIAL GRADE These stumps are meant to be loved and USED. Each is finished with a durable commercial-grade finish. This finish is tough enough for spills, kids, and holds up in hotel and hospitality settings. These modern wood side tables...

Ward Bennett Modern White 3078 I-Beam Table and Stool for Brickell, C. 1969, USA
By Geiger International, Ward Bennett
Located in Brooklyn, NY
Ward Bennett modern white 3078 I-beam occasional table for Brickel Associates, 1960s, USA. Provenance: Brickel Associates; Property from a Private New York City Collection. Measures: 15"H x 12"W x 12"D. Bennett sought to create a design style that was uniquely American, versus the popular European design styles of the 1960s and 70's. His style was called "sensual minimalism" for his blending of industrial design and aesthetic look. He is considered one of the first designers to use industrial design and the industrial aesthetic in home design. Hailed by the American Institute of Architects, Bennett is credited as an American pioneer in the use of industrial materials for home furnishings – a prime example being his early ’60s I Beam Table, which employs a section of beam for a base. Ward Bennett’s career began at age 13, when he quit school to work in New York’s Garment District. At 16 he went to Europe and continued working in fashion. Despite attending art schools in Florence and Paris, he was mostly self-taught, with skills ranging from jewelry-making to interior design. “I learn from people,” he said, referencing influences including Georgia O’Keeffe. Bennett eventually settled in New York, where his reputation earned him many high-profile clients. Lyndon Johnson later asked Bennett to design a chair for his presidential library—“a cross between a barroom chair and a courtroom chair...

Walnut and Glass Coffee Table -Thomas Throop/ Black Creek Designs -In Stock
By Black Creek Designs LLC
Located in New Canaan, CT
This new Afilar oval coffee table features a sublimely straight forward blackened walnut base supporting a 1/2" thick glass top. The design affords a clear top surface while offering display space below on the Claro walnut shelf. The supporting legs are tapered which is accentuated by tapered champers which lead the eye from the mass of the bottom to up the glass support points in a highly unique shape. This is a very versatile design that can accommodate a variety of symmetrical shapes with corresponding lower shelf. These shapes include circle, square, oval and rectangle as shown. Matching side tables can also be made to any height utilizing the same design and structural language. The overall effect is a highly sculptural table that is ultimately very functional. Each element is selected, shaped, joined and finished so as to create a unified design. The Afilar coffee table is designed and made at the Black Creek...
