About the Item
Stilts side table was inspired by the shape of the traditional fishing stilts. Fishermen found on stilts are those who do not have access to sophisticated equipment for fishing. The practice started during World War II when food shortages and overcrowded fishing spots prompted some clever men to try fishing on the water.
Each stilt can accommodate only one fisherman. The elegant golden leaf detail was designed to glorify the historic watermark which all the original structures possess.
