Giovanni De Simone was a great Sicilian artist from Palermo whose style was inspired by Pablo Picasso paintings.
Made in Italy in the 1960s.
The artist's signature is still visible on the tile, as shown in photos.

Giovanni de Simone
Giovanni De Simone was born in 1930. He opened his studio in Palermo, Sicily, soon after the end of World War II. He had worked and studied for a while under the direction of Pablo Picasso and Picasso's influence remained with him until he died in 1991. Giovanni had retired 10 years earlier in 1981.
