Painted Ski Montana History Scapula
About the Item
Painted in the old style vintage steer or buffalo scapula painted by Gordon R. (Buzz) Adolfson, February 26, 1977. One side showing a big horn ram with signature and date, the other the first tri-seat ski lift noting Showdown, Montana. Montana's oldest natural snow ski resort opening in 1936. The triple chair was installed in 1977 "Buzz" Adolfson was a forest service employee at the time. Obviously this was a gift to a friend. On the end noted "May God be with you and your family. With Love, Buzz." Printed in an early style similar to other scapula's we have seen painted by Joseph Sharp.
