ANTIQUE ORIGINAL OIL ON CANVAS PAINTING DEPICTING A FEMALE SITTER
A captivating portrait depicting a young woman with a kind yet powerful face dressed in white and against a green-mottled background. She is full of character.
The painting is unsigned but appears to be by a very talented hand. The artist has managed to capture plenty of feeling in the sitter with great skill. mixing technical ability and emotion.
I would date this to the early 20th century period, circa 1910-1930.
Framed in a simple ebonised wooden frame.

The painting itself is in very good condition with only minor handling wear commensurate with age. The frame is also in good vintage order.
Overall measurements 35cm high x 27cm wide x 3cm deep.
