Silk velvet cut designs, light browns, yellow, cream and blue, the panel consist on two arches with Islamic floral designs.
Antique textiles from early 1900s.
Each arch panel is 62" height X 26"5 wide

This large, mid-19th century Moroccan wall hanging, or hiti, is a a fine textile, hand made in the cultural center of Fez, it is crafted of the finest materials: silk velvet.
The tow panels wall hanging makes it a magnificent backdrop for special occasions.
Artisans in Fez had been creating sumptuous wall hangings like this since the 16th century.
Magnificent embroideries of this particular type, with their large size and architectural elements, were reserved for very grand occasions such as the week-long weddings of the very wealthy.
They provided a suitable backdrop for the bride in her lavish finery.
