This elegant long chain was created c.1900. It features an unusual combination of coloured glass and crystal. Condition Report: Very Good - One link is possibly a later replacement. This is only apparent upon very close inspection and does not detract from the appeal and rarity of the piece. The Details... This necklace is constructed from silver tone metal. It is a long line design, which is sometimes referred to as a guard chain. Guard chains were used to hold pocket watches and were substantial enough to be wrapped around the neck a number of times. This piece can be wrapped around the neck numerous times and measures 120cm in length. The necklace is detailed with green, blue, red and purple glass beads.
