Victorian 14K Gold Wedding Band with Feb. 16 1889 Inscription
About the Item
This beautiful antique 14k gold wedding band has the date February 16, 1989 engraved inside it, along with the name “A. Jones”. February is spelled “Fev.” so we assume this is a French ring or belonged to a French speaker. The ring has a gentle curve and is very comfortable to wear. There is something heartwarming about wearing an antique wedding band and giving it a second life, as it is a reminder of the timelessness of the tradition of marriage.
The ring has a nice 4.6 mm width and weighs 4.10 grams. It is unmarked and acid tests as 14k gold. “A. Jones 16 Fev. 1889” is engraved in a lovely scrolling font on the interior of the band.
