About the Item

Miss Twisty is a story of a young girl who leaves the big city to spend time in the country. The book is filled with insight and humor. This work is a deftly rendered black-and-white graphite illustration that showcases the artist's storytelling skills with deep academic understanding. This illustration is for the last chapter. Signed "I.B. Valira" in the image, lower right. Tipped to window matte and framed to 20x18 inches. A copy of the first trade edition in a dust jacket accompanies the artwork. The book's jacket is endorsed by Natalia Gontcharova, who notes that the young American artist "brings great talent and a deep sense of humor" to her drawings. A copy of the book comes accompanies the drawing. Period frame under glass
