Denise Driscoll's "Glimpse" is a large whimsical 64 x 58 inch abstract acrylic painting on canvas in hot pink, magenta, orange, metallic gold and white. Irregular diamonds form a net with gaps that reveal a variegated background with lacy lines of iridescent white bead-like dots weaving in and out. The painting continues around the gallery-wrapped 1.5 inch sides and is signed on the bottom right corner. The large-scale paintings in Driscoll's "Threshold" series are expansive, meditative accumulations of color, mark, and space that shimmer with possibility.
Denise Driscoll is a Boston-based contemporary painter exploring themes of connection, inner experience and the power of repetition and accumulation. Her work has been widely shown and is in numerous private and corporate collections. Driscoll is represented by Fountain Street Gallery in Boston, MA.

Denise Driscoll
Denise Driscoll is a contemporary painter exploring the notion that all living things —plants, animals, and humans—are connected in an intricate mesh of being, yet each exists at the center of their world. These simultaneous centers of lived experience swirl within and around us, piercing, enveloping, and permeating with or without our notice. Often, her paintings have no focal point. Instead, clusters of ovals and perforated shapes entwine and melt into each other within ambiguous boundaries. Highly saturated, complementary colors vibrate and seem to float just above the painted surface. Each canvas becomes an imaginary map of exchange, a playful, hopeful vision of momentary harmony.
