Juan Soler
San Fermin Pamplona Spain oil on board painting

c.1995

About the Item

Juan Soler (1951) - San Fermin - Oil on board Oil measures 60x90 cm. Frameless. He was born in 1951. Under the direction of the master Pedro Bermejo, he began his artistic career, quickly highlighting and observing in his works an unusual mastery of drawing. A very mature painter who has known how to stop time in all his works. His themes are preferably costumbristas although in his work the usual thing is to see eight century themes, with horse carriages, hats, umbrellas and still lifes. Observing his work reminds us, by the subject, of Maestro Palmero (school known as the Parisina). It is also common to see in his works, nudes of women, which are made very naturally, framing them in an atmosphere of relaxation and sweetness that sometimes makes us dream.

  • Ordinary miracle
    Located in Zofingen, AG
"I still remember my memories from childhood, when the horse bowed its velvet muzzle over me. Her huge wet eyes, which you couldn't keep your eyes off, are framed by fluffy long eyelashes. I saw in its eyes another unreal fairy-tale world. Adults said, just stroke her, it asks you. And I thought it wanted to tell me some secret. And I always wanted to learn horse language to understand it. This is what my painting "Ordinary Miracle" is about. The horse still remains a fabulous creature for me. It is like a magical vehicle that can take you to a wonderland and fulfill your innermost desire. It connects me to the world of mystery and magic." Size of the canvas: 70*50 cm. The painting will look great in a classic and modern style interior. It is suitable for kids or a nursery room...
