Chatham Beach contemporary landscape painting During a coastal summer, the beach can be a welcome escape from the high heat and humidity. As the sky turns hazy with a touch of green, and dark clouds gather, this kind of moment is a favorite. It is mere minutes before a thunderstorm breaks, quickly dropping the temperature and enlivening the mood. This small original artwork is 12 x 12 inches and is painted in oil on gallery wrapped linen. The edges are hand painted and suitable for framing or lovely left as is. It is wired with finger friendly wire, is ready to install and comes with an official certificate of authenticity. As a painter, Katherine Kean seeks moments of breath-taking transition in nature; a gathering of clouds or changing tides; times when the elements of the landscape combine with the alchemy of imagination to illuminate the world of heightened mood and sensation.
