French Genre Scene in Parisian park 19th Century Oil painting

About the Item

Signed by Émile Tabary. Lively scene in in a parisian park, pictured moment of city life of the late 19th century. In this painting, some irony and humor are very subtly felt. One of the most interesting works ever on public sales by this artist. Size app.: 82 x 66 cm (roughly 32,3 x 26 in). Size in frame ca: 93 x 76 cm (roughly 36,6 x 30 in). Oil painting on strong paperboard. Very Good condition, age wear, requires cleaning, please study high-res pictures for cosmetic condition! In person actual painting may appear darker or brighter than in our pictures, strictly depending on sufficient light in your environment. Weight of app. 2 kg is going to measure some 4 kg packed for shipment. Angèle Emile Tabary (1857-1927). Painter was a student of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He married in Beauvais on July 30, 1884. Charles Herbert, photographer, former student of the School of Fine Arts, was his witness. It was undoubtedly shortly after that Tabary took over from him in the photography studio located on rue Saint-Pierre, opposite the famous gothic St.Peter’s cathedral (Beauvais). In 1901, Daniel Richard worked at this address after him.
