Painter of Landscape.
He exhibited in Paris, at the Salon of independents since 1907 and was well known as a painter of the river banks. Many works were painted in Le Havre, Rouen, and especially in Paris. His works appear in international auction market [Paris, New York, London, Amsterdam, Montreal, Rome].

Gustave Madelain
Gustave Madelain was born in Charly, Aisne, in 1867. The painting depicts one of these subjects typical of the painter, brushed on the spot, without fioritura, the witness of the daily life of the Paris of the 30s. He was an exhibitor at the Salon des Artistes Indépendants, since 1907, he acquired a reputation as a painter of the river banks. Madelain died in 1944
