About the Item
Stunning vertical landscape of dramatic rock formations towering over the desert below by Ken Lucas (American, 20th Century). Location and date are written on the stretcher bar ("Ariz Hi April '97 Ar Hi Cal '94 April") along the top edge. "3/96" is written on the stretcher bar in the upper left corner. This piece was but was acquired from the Lucas estate, "Ken Lucas" on verso. No frame. Image size: 40"H x 30"W
Ken Lucas was a painter from Monterey, California. He was primarily self-taught but became proficient as an artist and left a legacy of excellent paintings. He was a friend of and painted with Richard Lofton, Carmel Artist.
