The George Ranch The George Ranch is a 22,000-acre working ranch located in Fort Bend County, Texas. Founded in 1824, the ranch’s legacy is woven throughout the fabric of our Fort Bend community. School groups and the general public experience the Ranch and explore 100 years of Texas history in an interactive and authentic environment through tours and educational experiences. The ranch’s history began in 1824 when Henry and Nancy Jones received a league of land along the Brazos River in the Mexican territory known as Tejas as members of Stephen F. Austin’s “Old 300.” Today, the ranch’s fertile soil and natural resources enable the HGRA to continue its educational mission. Also shown are other Steve Parker paintings that were just delivered to the gallery. The paintings are gallery wrapped so there is no need for a frame unless you decide to add a frame.
