Tae Ho Kang
Tae Ho Kang was born in Seoul, Korea in 1945. Kang studied at the College of Arts of Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. Kang later moved to California to study Fine Art at California State University, where he graduated in 1980. Since then, Kang’s artworks have focused on the never-ending quest for home and belonging in a dense urban landscape. One day, when Kang was traveling, he was impressed by the beautiful scenery of the city under the sky, with many straight lines, curved lines and harmonies of different colors, which seemed to be a magnificent orchestral performance. The beauty of this urban landscape gave him a deep impression and great change began to take place in his work. Kang wanted to be a molecule in this huge space. Kang has to find a house of his heart to be a molecule. Where is the house he lives in? What is his identity? These questions began to arise. Kang was on a long journey to find his own house. Kang’s mixed media collage artworks have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions as well as international art fairs throughout the US and Korea. Kang's work has also been featured in Television and Film productions, including Criminal Minds, NCIS Los Angeles, Unforgettable, The Mindy Project, The Great Indoors and American Housewife. Kang’s artworks have been exhibited and acquired by private collectors around the world.

- Into The Dark - Minimalist Scenic Nighttime Landscape PaintingBy Mike GoughLocated in Los Angeles, CAGough’s interest in the elusive quality of memory has always been an invariable interest in his art practice. Rooted in memories of his upbringing in Newfoundland, Gough’s paintings are autobiographical but carry universal narratives. In the absence of detail there is an opportunity for one’s own memories to develop. An expansive solitude and sense of isolation is met with a universal feeling of what it means to belong. This unique 16 inch square mixed media painting on panel explores our relationship with memory and the natural world. This piece is signed by the artist on the back and is wired and ready to hang. The sides are painted and the artwork does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and international shipping available. This artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery. Mike Gough was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. He attended Sir Wilfred Grenfell College and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts. In 2009/2010 he attended Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, England where he received a Master of Fine Arts. His work has appeared in exhibitions in Canada, the UK, the United States of America, and France and is part of both private and public collections worldwide. At its core, his practice explores how our relationship with the natural world connects and defines us. Working in mixed media, he endeavors to create familiar meditative spaces that exhibit a personal journey, but simultaneously invite the viewer to insert themselves in the narrative. These paintings partially stem from a fear of memory loss as a result of experiences with Alzheimer’s in his family. Not only does the painting process exercise Gough’s memory, but the paintings themselves act as records of his experience becoming a blend of reality and idealism. They are not painted from photographs; the places are not precisely rendered and the experiences are not accurately told, but they are Gough’s authentic recollection of them. The intent of his work is to create a patchwork map of memories as a guide back to the authenticity of human feeling. - tempio di Antonino e FaustinaLocated in Milano, MIUrbex is the English acronym for urban exploration and is an activity that consists of searching for and locating abandoned infrastructure with the goal of visiting, photographing and conveying its contents, with particular involvement of methodologies from geography, anthropology, sociology to cultural studies. Her works have been in the past approached to the works of Anselm Kiefer (b. 1945) and Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1770), but in Gullotta's paintings the absence of color makes the spaces particularly ethereal, allowing them to be ideally lifted to new places and to new life. We often speak of a "brain drain," but in this case we are truly happy to be able to say that this is a "return," and an important one: an artist of international caliber who has decided to entrust her return to her homeland to Almach Art...Category
