About the Item
In "Harmony of Solitude," Linda Clerget captures the serene intimacy of two distinct moments, united by the tranquil beauty of nature and the soothing presence of the woman.
"In Sweet Playa," a nude woman stands on a Mediterranean beach, embodying the essence of a peaceful pause by the sea. Bathed in the golden light of the setting sun, she exudes freedom and tranquility, while the vibrant colors of the Mediterranean summer dance around her.
In contrast, "Alone in the Wind" features a woman lying by a lakeside, cradled by the gentle breeze that rustles through the tall grass. Her silhouette blends into the landscape, bearing witness to her communion with nature and her peaceful introspection. It is a scene of gentle solitude and solace, where the wind whispers secrets and the calm waters reflect the harmony of the present moment.
Together, these two works form a captivating diptych, exploring the beauty of solitude and the deep connection between human and environment. It is a celebration of inner peace and serenity found in silent contemplation of nature, a harmony of solitude that resonates within the soul of those who behold these poetic works.

The Art of Linda Clerget and the Dolce Vita from Fontainebleau “My brushes trace paths to imaginary lands, where each stroke of color is a journey in itself, an exploration of the Dolce Vita through the landscapes of my mind.” An Inspiring Journey with Matisse Born in 1985 in Paris, Linda Clerget was immersed in the excitement of the French capital and its rich artistic influences from an early age. From her childhood, she discovered the colorful and vibrant world of Fauvist art, particularly through the works of masters such as Henri Matisse, who inspired her with their modernity and energy. It was over the years that her interest in painting grew, but it was only later that she truly explored this medium with passion. A Quest for Knowledge and Creativity
His artistic journey is marked by a ceaseless quest for knowledge and creativity. From her teenage years, Linda devoured books at the municipal library and explored the city's museums, thus cultivating a rich artistic culture. His love for cinema completes this picture, enriching his outlook and allowing him to explore new artistic horizons. Artistic Diversity and Engagement Having experimented with different forms of artistic expression, Linda worked intensively as an author, journalist and photographer, before turning to theater. It was ultimately towards drawing and painting that she found her way, guided by her passion for vibrant colors and the boundless energy of the Fauvist movement. Training and Expansion of the Artistic Horizon Trained in Paris, Linda obtained a trainer's license in visual arts, thus consolidating her commitment to her art. She also enriched her knowledge with renowned American painters such as Ben Fenske and Steve Huston, whose impressionist influence nourished and broadened her artistic palette. Inspiration from 70s Culture In addition to her Fauvist and Impressionist influences, Linda draws her inspiration from the skate and roller culture of the 70s. This vintage and rebellious aesthetic integrates harmoniously into her work, adding a unique dimension to her creations. Travel and Escape through Art A traveler at heart, Linda explores the world through her paintings. Each painting is an invitation to adventure, an immersion in exotic landscapes where daydream and reality mingle. In her pictorial journeys, she defends essential values such as respect for nature, the search for physical well-being through sport and care of the body, and above all, the love of pleasure and joy. An Artist Established Near the Forest Professional painter, Linda Clerget exercises her talent from her home studio in Thomery, near the Fontainebleau forest, where she draws her inspiration from the murmurs of the trees, the changing seasons and the serenity of nature. With a resolutely modern and innovative approach, she embodies the spirit of 21st century Fauvism, bringing a breath of fresh air through her vibrant and dynamic art. His paintings are not simply works to be contemplated, but windows open to unsuspected worlds, testimonies of his inner journey and his commitment to the preservation of beauty and harmony in the world around him.

More importantly, he met and learned from Pissarro. In 1893 he met Luce and Signac at the Salon des Indépendants, and as a result he adopted Pointillism for a few years. In the 1900s he lived in Lagny with his family and painted landscapes of the neighbouring Marne forest. His painting underwent drastic changes when he discovered the south of the country. He would thereafter live in other French regions: Vendée, Brittany and Normandy, where he stayed at Les Andelys for some time, but his home from home was between Sanary and Nice. He painted members of his family in the settings in which he lived, mostly in Provence. His work shares some themes of his friend Bonnard. But although he exhibited with the Fauves, and admired Matisse, Rouault, Dufy, Valtat and Manguin (who introduced him to the Midi), he remained distinct from them in style. Lebasque was well known in his lifetime. He collaborated on the decorations of the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and of the Atlantic liner Paris. He is remembered for: Nymphs at their Bath; The Sunshade; Girl with Hydrangeas; Great Nude on a Pink Sofa. He took part in the following collective exhibitions: Salon des Indépendants, 1886; Salon des Artistes Français; and later the Salon d'Automne, of which he was a founding member in 1903 and on whose committee he sat until his death. A set of his works was shown in 1937 at Masters of Independent Art ( Maîtres de l'Art Indépendant) at the Petit Palais. In 1957, 20 years after his death, a retrospective exhibition was held at the Musée des Ponchettes in Nice, and in 1981 his works were exhibited at St-Paul-de-Vence.
