1999

About the Item

Robin Rice is a successful gallerist and photographer having spent the past 40 years living and working in New York City and Bridgehampton. While still the owner of the Robin Rice Gallery in New York City, where she continues to represent and nurture artists from around the world, she has taken the bold step of moving to the Lofts in Beacon, NY to focus on her own work as a fine art photographer. Robin is carefully unearthing and curating her extensive personal collection dating back to when she was 16 years old. Her mission is simple: to document the world around her in a cinematic way. Whether capturing the grit of New York in its glory days of Studio 54 or the innate beauty of tucked-away South American landscapes or the reflective moments of unknowing subjects, her photographs are always authentic. As a photographer, she has a dreamy and bohemian way of portraying people and situations that is reflective of the way she lives her life situations connecting to people through art, food, travel and dance. Her meticulous eye, attention to detail and innate instinct for visual excellence are only some of the traits that make Robin’s photography exceptional in every way. This photograph shows Robin's love for classic black and white American photography. As she captures a woman biking through a Hampton's tree farm in the nude. Her photography is filled with nostalgia. Black and White, Person, Bicycle, Woman, Nude, Hat, Summer, Road, East Hampton, New York
