The artist continues his investigation into the abstraction of the human body in this collection of monochrome images. a series of up-close shots of naked people in different poses without the face. Legs and arms take on an almost abstract variety of shapes and volumes.
The subject of Klaus Kampert’s photography revolves around the body, and its movement and the emotion that it conveys. He works almost exclusively with ballet dancers for their exceptional physical capabilities as they too strive for beauty, grace and perfection. Their incredible physical capacities better harness the emotion that Klaus Kampert is looking for in his photography. A dialogue develops with the model, the body transmits the message and the movement while Klaus Kampert captures the expression sealing the photo with the emotion.

Klaus Kampert
The photographic work of Klaus Kampert is an uninterrupted dialogue between light and the naked bodies of his models, perceived as an infinite repertoire of forms and expressions. In a setting often reduced to the essential, the artist does not cease to explore the images and emotions that might emerge from this dialogue. With his perfect mastery of the light and the collaboration of classical dancers capable of expressing the full range of emotions through their movements, over the years Klaus Kampert has developed a style whose aim seems to be to capture the very essence of our humanity. “My photography approaches the nudity of bodies as a way to get closer to the spirit and emotions of the human being, through body language. The body is the envelope of the soul: it is both the shelter and the interpreter, the ‘teller’.”
