Very young he made his debut for the Saturday insert of the Gazzetta del Popolo, and in the same years he collaborated with several magazines as an illustrator. In 1968 he created Mr. Manager's comic strip for Rinascita, but following the magazine's refusal to publish it because he was too politicized, the strip landed in the magazines Ca Balà and Eureka, to which it also contributed self-contained tables.
