NO PLACE LIKE HOME is a hand drawn, limited edition lithograph(not a photo reproduction or digital print) by the African American artist Louis Delsarte printed using hand lithography techniques on archival Arches paper 100% acid free. NO PLACE LIKE HOME is a colorful, dream-like interior scene portraying a convivial gathering of a Black family enjoying a meal together at the dinner table. NO PLACE LIKE HOME is a lively and visually engaging home kitchen setting; very nostalgic with its vintage white appliances, red checkered tablecloth, cooking pots, and light streaming through the window. The family members are together - Grandpa reaching out to his grandchild, other family members exchange warm glances of affection and good-humored conversation around the kitchen table as the meal is served. NO PLACE LIKE HOME bursts with joyful colors expressed using watercolor effects in shades of yellow, orange, tan, blue, red, magenta, hot pink, light blue, turquoise, aqua, green, and accents of black and white creating a wonderland of family bliss.

LOUIS DELSARTE is an African-American artist known for what has sometimes been called his "illusionistic" style art. He is a painter, muralist, printmaker, and illustrator. When Delsarte was growing up, he was surrounded by music including jazz, opera, musicals, and the blues. From this experience, as well as from his knowledge of African history and culture, he has drawn much of the inspiration for his art. He is an Associate Professor in Arts and Humanities at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. Delsarte’s career as an artist for the past 50 years has complemented his career as an educator. Delsarte’s work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions at museums and galleries throughout the United States including the Studio Museum in Harlem and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Delsarte’s work is in numerous public collections including the Carlos Museum at Emory University in Atlanta and the National Gallery of Art in Bermuda.
