About the Item
This large scale landscape monotype in black and brown features a scene from London’s Greenwich Park, a former hunting park established in the 15th century that is now one of the largest single green spaces in London. Tree foliage blooms upward, meeting dramatic clouds over a brush-lined walking path. The translucency of the ink is showcased by the artist's loose, painterly brush strokes and gestural highlights, which create rich layers of texture.
