About the Item

Original vintage travel poster promoting Ceylon featuring a great illustration showing a lady in a traditional sari dress leaning against a palm tree on a sandy beach with people on holiday sunbathing and relaxing and swimming in the sea and two children building a sandcastle behind the group in the foreground enjoying a picnic in the shade of the tree below the blue sky with a building in the rocks in the distance. Located south of India in Asia Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) is an island in the Indian Ocean. Printed in England by Charles & Read Ltd London. Very good condition, minor restoration to folds and small tears, backed on linen.
