Original vintage travel advertising poster - Imperial Airways The British Air Line Travel in perfect comfort by the largest air liners in the World to Europe Africa India and the East - featuring a sepia-toned photograph of a man in uniform standing by the wheel of a propeller Heracles (Hercules) Handley Page HP 42 class passenger plane framed in a bold green border. Founded in 1924 the British airline Imperial Airways merged into the British Overseas Airways Corporation BOAC in 1939, later merging with the British European Airways BEA to form British Airways BA in 1974. Published by Imperial Airways Ltd from Airway Terminus, London. Printed in Great Britain by Henderson and Spalding Ltd, London. Good condition, restored tears, creasing, staining, backed on linen.
