Jeremy Guy
Event 3/50 - dark, smooth, polished, abstract, black granite sculpture

2023

About the Item

With its fluid and elegant lines, this abstract stone sculpture by Jeremy Guy appears to resemble a figure eight. Guy is known for his powerful contemporary form that often emulates shapes found in nature. Created from engineered black granite, this piece’s voluptuous curves are enhanced by the natural variations in the stone. Its velvety smooth finish is polished to a glossy sheen. This is one of a series, engraved with the artist's signature, and edition number. “I feel it is my role as an artist to create a pause for contemplation by embracing that which is new and highlighting the wonder of what is already there". " Jeremy Guy Guy was born and raised in a small town in West Yorkshire, England. A fine art major, in 2001 he graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with an Honours BA in Product Design. His sculptures are collected across three continents in both public and private spaces.
