Toshio Iezumi
Set of 2 P.041200 by Toshio Iezumi - Glass, abstract, wall sculpture

2000

About the Item

Set of two heat reflecting glass and half mirror sculptures, 60 cm × 20 cm × 7 cm. Edition of 5. In the ‘Move’ series, which began in the 2000’s, the artist presents vertical sculptures standing with a powerful and delicate presence. For the series, Toshio Iezumi worked especially on the waves, alternating convex and concave forms to give the sculptures an effect of movement. The artist also uses a semi-transparent mirror, placed inside the artwork to further accentuate the reflections and light diffusion.

  • P.190501 by Toshio Iezumi - Contemporary glass sculpture, green, abstract
    By Toshio Iezumi
    Located in Paris, FR
P.190501 is a glass sculpture by Japanese contemporary artist Toshio Iezumi, dimensions are 100 × 15 × 7 cm (39.4 × 5.9 × 2.8 in). The sculpture is signed and numbered, it is part of a limited edition of 5 editions and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Beginning in 1996, the artist experimented with a new format for his work in the "Projection" series, which resulted in mural sculptures. The artwork's heat reflective glass reflected the surroundings, but in a distorted and very different way than what a viewer might expect to see in a mirror. This position encouraged frontal viewing and played with the idea of a mirror. The artist’s glass...
