Ivan Zanoni
Pair of wrought iron stag beetles on a river stone all "framed" by a steel tray

2006

About the Item

The measures of the composition are cm h 10 x w 36 x d 36. The measurements written on the technical file correspond on each single stag beetle. After the success of a major exhibition that the MART, Museum of Modern Art in Rovereto (the most prominent in Italy), dedicated to him, the artist took part in a recent exhibition in Trento. Ivan Zanoni, born and raised in Caldes (Trento, Italy), is one of the most prominent contemporary artists mastering iron of our time. Ivan Zanoni has learned this rare activity from his father, Luciano, who, among other works, has sculpted a four meters olive tree for Melinda and Bill Gates' foundation in Seattle. Ivan's works are inspired by nature; his artistic research aims at representing not only animals' anatomy but also their soul. All of his artworks are unique proofs made of wrought iron.
