  • Love Wins - Rainbow glass pill sculpture
    By Edie Nadelhaft
    Located in East Quogue, NY
Limited edition rainbow colored glass pill sculpture. Edition of 9. Signed and numbered on the back by the artist. The piece is equipped with a D-ring on the back for easy hanging. "Love Wins" is part of Edie Nadelhaft's "Better Living Thru Chemistry: Luv is the Drug" sculpture series consisting of candy-colored glass and mixed media capsule-shaped objects. Each pill is festooned with text messages, social media iconography and the language of pop psychology. Inspired in equal parts by the ubiquitous presence of social media in contemporary culture and the simultaneous rise of direct - to - consumer pharmaceutical marketing. The work pokes fun at the alternately amusing and depressing correlations between the two phenomena as both are enlisted to oversimplify the human condition and expedite contentment through a familiar cocktail of instant gratification and seductive packaging. Edie Nadelhaft is a New York-based painter and mixed media artist whose work has been widely exhibited at museums, art fairs and galleries. She studied painting and art history at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and S.U.N.Y. Purchase. She received her BFA with Honors from The Massachusetts College of Art & Design. • American Surrealist pipes and playing cards spirit of Magritte abstract Montage
    By Charles Green Shaw
    Located in Norwich, GB
I love this extraordinary American surrealist piece - a collage/montage, an assembly of objects in a velvet-clad box/frame - for a number of reasons reasons. I love the fact that it depicts pipes, among the most iconic images of the surrealist movement, rooted in Magritte’s famous 1929 painting which depicts a pipe accompanied by the caption “Ceci n'est pas une pipe” (This is not a pipe). Marcel Duchamp loved using pipes...

  • New Dawn
    By Hunt Slonem
    Located in Laguna Beach, CA
A wonderful composition of one of Slonem's most iconic subjects, Bunnies. This piece depicts the whimsical bunny in hand-blown glass. Inspired by nature and a genuine love for animals, Slonem's glass works encompass unique inspirations drawn from the world. While viewing this piece in person, it is as if we are surrounded by elegance effortlessly, enchanted with the charm of the Rabbit which symbolizes good fortune. This sculpture invites us to celebrate nature and the simplicity of form from the inspiring world of the Rabbit. The artist's signature is etched in glass. In a natural expansion of his artistic vocabulary, Slonem has evolved his famous bunnies into the dynamic medium of glass with the same quick gestural dance of his paint brush marks on canvas. "New Dawn...
