Art Deco Figurine Table Lamp Bronze Lady Sculpture, French, circa 1930
Located in Lincoln, Lincolnshire
This is a stunning figurine table lamp of a nude lady bronze Figurine sculpture made in France, circa 1930.
The figurine is heavy and made of bronze metal with good detail. It has been cold painted with a green colour which has worn away in places, showing a patinated bronze colour beneath. The lady is stood on a round ball above a shaped shell like base. The figure is holding the lamp above her head with the electric cable running into the base and vertically up her back to the lamp fitting above. A coloured spherical glass shade firmly sits in the dished support.
The light is currently fitted with a small bayonet fitting, the whole electrical fitting having been PAT tested for safety compliance in the UK. The fitting could easily be modified to suit the electricity supply of the country where it might be used .
This piece is typical of the Art Deco aesthetic, with the sleek lines of the nude girl figure holding the globe light above.
The lamp is in full working order.
This is a substantial heavy piece weighing about 2.5Kg unpacked.
Overall a beautiful original Art Deco Lady Figurine...

Stunning Hand Carved Art Deco Era Bust Sculpture of an Olympian w. Laurel Wreath
By Otto Poertzel 1
Located in Lisse, NL
Solid wooden bust of an Olympic champion by (professor) Otto Poertzel (1876 - 1963).
This stunning bust of a young male athlete is of museum quality and condition. Both the geometrical design of the wooden base and the fresh and energetic look and feel of this young male Olympian breath the spirit of the roaring twenties. You will hardly ever come accros a better proportioned, a more realistic or more 'soulful' bust than this wonderfully patinated athlete. It takes an incredibly skilled artisan to be able to create a piece of this quality, because it simoultaniously breathes both energy and serenity. For the mouth, nose, eyes and ears to also be of such perfection makes this antique an...

Art Deco Sculpture "A Bird in the Hand" by Armand Godard Sculpture Bronze
By Armand Godard
Located in Oakland, CA
Art Deco sculpture by Armand Godard, produced by the Parisian foundry of Edmond Etling. This is an example of high style rendered in the highest quality. Nothing is more emblematic of the Art Deco Era than a sculpture of a sleek, nude female form and Godard’s are among the very finest.
He did many exquisite statues of beautiful women, dancers from exotic lands and from the Follies Bergere. His work was exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais and at the 1937I international Exhibition of Paris in which he also displayed a monumental plaster sculpture in silvered patina that stood over 14 feet tall.
Most of his pieces were commissioned by Etling and produced in bronze and ivory. Another version of the sculpture we are offering shows the same young woman with the fashionable bobbed hair reaching toward a peacock.
The woman with a “bird in the hand...
