Stunning vintage modern all glass dining table V double pedestal base with incised draped design and four polished brass plated aluminum connectors in the style of Pace. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There was a chip in the top corner of one of the glass bases that has been repaired. The collaboration between Jaime Hayon and BD Barcelona Design started 15 years ago. Since, we have developed a ton of designs and variations together divided into three large collections: Showtime, Gardenias and Explorer. The Explorer collection is the most recent. Before the forced lockdown due to the pandemic, which is still affecting us today, we presented a ‘starter’ to this new collection – a series of three side tables called Explorer 1, 2 and 3. So far, these have had comercial success. This may be because they remind one of jelly-beans, rounded sweets that children eat in the United States. “This childlike inspiration, has at the same time a very elegant beauty which generally is characterised in my designs. It’s about new shapes, different objects within the market that want to convert into emblematic pieces because these tables are not only functional but sculpturally strong”, explains Hayon. Now comes the second part. The tables have grown up, maintaining the same signs of identity these being personality, pleasantness, elegance and quality in workmanship. “The glossy finishes and different colour combinations give even more options to the collection, aiming to be blatantly decorative. Phenomenal all glass modern dining table attributed to The Pace Collection with only a single brass plated connector on the pedestal base. It is in fabulous vintage condition. There is one small chip in one of the glass legs, but it is under the connector and cannot be seen. There maybe small scratches that we have not noticed. Please see photos. Circa 1970s. Note: Dog not included but it is dog approved! I have loved this table since the 1970s. Well not this exact one but all the different forms of this table attributed to The Pace Collection. Comprised of five slabs of ¾ inch thick glass. One for the tabletop and four that, along with a single brass plated steel connector, form the pedestal base. Simple. Sleek. Elegant. Perfect dining table to pair with some Mid-Century Modern chairs. Or, use it in your Industrial loft with some Industrial or sleek and modern chairs. Maybe even use it in a traditional or Hollywood Regency setting in juxtaposition with a set of over-the-top ornate chairs...
