A point stitched pair of braces, taffeta and leather - England Circa 1840/1860

About the Item

Circa 1840/1860 England Beautiful pair of men's braces complete with roses embroidered in petit point on cream linen net, dating from the late Louis-Philippe or early Second Empire period. Lining and bias in scarlet Gros de Tour. Chamois leather eyelets with integrated metal spirals. Complete with its metal claw buckles. Slight patina and soiling of the chamois leather. Only defect to report. Good structural condition. Dimensions : Length 97 cm, Width 5 cm for each strap.
