About the Item
Geoffrey Beene created in the late 70's and early 80's a casual, modern American version of evening wear which influenced they way women dressed all over the world.
Using the finest materials in sportswear cuts, he was able to reinvent and evening dressing for the modern woman.
Hammered silk satin is pieced in steel and putty tones. His biomorphic cuts are used to change the identity of this T shirt and pant ensemble. Full gathered pants fall from his signature trapunto shaped waist which mimicks the raglan cut on the sleeves. Back button entry on the top. An oversized tube of hammered silk with silk tassels adds an additional luxurious note to the ensemble, useable as a scarf or sash.
